Responsibilities

Our client is looking to bring in a Senior Oracle DBA resource to assist with workload the current team is under-staffed to handle with their ongoing TSA Exit with Client and integration with Shire responsibilities. This position would be supporting multiple projects and initiatives as related to the Oracle Database technology group. As a senior Oracle DBA, they should be familiar with best practices in this space and help drive standardization or appropriate configuration with necessary groups as it relates to our interest. The team is not only looking for someone to talk through best practices to resolve business problems, but also someone that can implement or create their ideas as well. :

10-15 years Oracle DBA experience – ability to lead but also implement that solution (not a high level architect, more hands on role).
Data Sensor Migration Experience(moving between releases)
Experience with OEM Tool – Oracle Enterprise Management
Experience as DBA with JDE, SAP, Cognos or Informatica on those DBs to understand business challenge and communicate effectively. If not those ERP systems, larger terabyte environment experience.

Skills/Experience

Proven working experience as a Database administrator.
Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications.
Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding.
Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third party tools.
Familiarity with programming languages API.
Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
BS degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification
